My eyes opened and slowly, I came to my feet as the empty vial rolled across the ground.
Im- Im not dead.
Thats right, somehow I was not dead, it seemed that the voice didnt want to kill me after all. As I stood there I realized rather suddenly that, I wasnt afraid anymore, more than that I could see. It seemed that my eyes had grown used to the darkness.
I picked up the torch and took a look around.
Oh right, I havent opened this one yet.
There was one more chest left to still be opened. I rested my hand against it and gently pushed it open however, that was a mistake.
Uhm.. I was careless. Uwaaa!
Making a creepy sound the chest leapt forward.

It bit down on my arm intending to eat me. It wasnt the same as being bitten by your pet dog, it sunk its fangs into me tearing away flesh.
It ate a part of me.
My sleeve had been ripped open and a large amount of blood flowed from my left arm.

It hurt, but right in front of my eyes a monster was carrying off a piece of me. Countless fangs had grown from the chests opening and it now had long thin legs that seemed completely out of place. That however, wasnt the worst of it, the worst was its long creepy tongue.
I promptly spun around and ran back down the narrow pathways, my mind went blank as I continued to run.

A green wave was emitted out from my palm healing the wound.

The wound wasnt completely healed with just one use, so I continued hitting it with [Heal] until there wasnt much left of my MP.

I realized it then, this is truly where it was going to end. There was no way for me to oppose that monster when the only thing I could use was [Heal]. I dont know how many times I can continue to use it but Ive already had to use it countless times just to heal this wound, theres no way I can continue healing myself the same way.

I suddenly remembered talking to that ominous liquid earlier before I drank it and decided to check my status once more.

Although its nowhere near the same level, its been taken to the extreme. I dont know what level {extreme} is supposed to be but, isnt this a cheat?

I should be able to use it at least for a short time.
My wound was completely healed now, so with torch in hand I turned back down the pathway.

I arrived back in the room to find two chests lying open with the third one shut. It doesnt seem like it can leave the room, so after a time it just returns to its original position.
Youre just eating to survive right.
I wonder if adventures come here often but, more than that do monsters even need to eat? Its an interesting question however, the answer doesnt matter, because I closed in on the chest and activated my magic.

There was no hint of the original [Heal] attribute as the erosion sphere enveloped me.

Aiming for the chest I began to expand the creepy red and black sphere towards it, it revealed itself crying out as the magic closed in but was unable to move.

The mimic flees to the corner of the room crying out as I unfold and expand my magic to chase after it.

As it came into contact with the magic it let out a cry as it started to be broken down by the erosion.

Before I realized it half of the chest had already disappeared, its a fearsome magic. Soon after the mimic broke apart into small particles of light and disappeared.

As I laughed the announcement flowed through my mind, and a screen appeared before me as I wallowed in victory.

So this is the Goddesses divine protection huh, lets see, its hard to throw away Mimicry but I think Im going to go with this.

A smell bell began to ding in my head as I started to level up and my status numbers began to rise.
Hmm? Wait a second level 500!? Theres no way that thing was that strong!
Thats just strange isnt it? How could that thing have been level 500?! I was only level 1! However, the announcer didnt answer my question and instead alerted my that my status had become rather strange.
