Chapter 30. The 3rd Floor
After meeting with Kodachi-san, we took a lunch break in the dungeon and explored the 2nd floor again.
The first monster we encountered was a single goblin.
The goblin raised its weapon and attacked us.
“[Fire Bolt]!”
The fire magic that Yuzuki unleashed struck the goblin as it came toward us.
With that blow, the goblin turned into a black mist and disappeared, and the magic stone rolled on the floor.
The goblin gets killed within seconds after Yuzuki encounters it.
“Oh, I could kill the goblin with a single blow! Aren’t I awesome, senpai? I feel like I’m the strongest again!”
My younger brother’s eyes were sparkling, appealing to me like that.
I chuckle and pat my cute little brother on the head.
“Oh, wow, you sure are amazing. It’s also very charming how quickly you get into the swing of things.”

Yuzuki’s cheeks relax as if she is happy.
She doesn’t realize the irony, but she’s on board.
Yuzuki’s magic power at level 3 increased from 10 to 12 compared to when he was at the first level, so that may have affected him.
Kodachi-san, looked somewhat restless when I patted Yuzuki on the head.
But then she looked aghast, shook her head, and coughed.
“Ho, I get the feeling that Hotaru-chan has become quite strong. You can make it to the 3rd floor, don’t you?”

Our kouhai suddenly said something out of context.
What is this guy saying out of the blue?
But Kodachi-san, perhaps having an idea, blushed a blush on his cheeks.
“Heh heh! Na, na, what ……!”
“Heh heh, well, I guess you must be missing human skin, huh? I’m sure if you ask him to do it, he’ll be happy to do it~?”
“I don’t know what you’re talking about, Hotaru-chan. ……?”
“Your eyes are swimming, Kazane-san. Uri-uri~”
“Hotaru-chan, stop, stop ……!”
Yuzuki bites down and drives Kodachi-san to the wall of the cave.

Kodachi-san was confused.
“Hey, Yuzuki, I don’t know what it is, but don’t embarrass Kodachi-san.”
“Kya-in!”
I grabbed Yuzuki by the neck and yanked her off Kodachi-san.
Kodachi-san was relieved.
Yumizuki, on the other hand, gives me a resentful look.
“Senpai! Grabbing me by the neck is not something you do to a cute kouhai girl like me! You treat me like an animal!”
“I think you as a puppy.”
“That’s terrible! I’m going to protest! I’m going to appeal to the Humane Society!

“You’re getting all flirty with me there.”
As usual, she switches tensions quickly.
But there is one more tension change.
Yuzuki sighed heavily, somehow.
“…But still, senpai, I’m not so sure. I understand what you’re saying, but I don’t think that’s right.”
“No, what are you talking about? You’re switching so fast. I don’t understand.”
“Oh, ……, that’s okay. I don’t want it to go too well. I don’t want you to be bothered with me, so I’ll play along and tease you.”

But Yuzuki shook her head in disgust at my protests, giving me a look that said, “You don’t get it.”
I’m not sure if she’s still trying to respect me as senpai or not.

When Yuzuki’s strength had increased to a certain extent, we went down to the 3rd floor.
In our current party, the goblin archers are the most frightening thing on the 3rd floor.
I am not sure if the goblin archer can withstand the concentrated fire of the Yuzuki, just in case.
However, since Yuzuki has [HP Up (Endurance x4)], I think she’ll be fine if nothing too serious happens to her.
Incidentally, when seekers fight monsters, as long as they have HP remaining, they will not be fatally wounded out of the blue.
To put it more bluntly. If our HP is not gone, we won’t die.
It seems that some fateful force, such as an enemy’s arrow that happens to hit us in the wrong place and kills us instantly, does not happen.

Kodachi-san was showing enthusiasm in a strange direction.

The monster composition was one of the groups I least wanted to encounter.
1 hobgoblin and 2 goblin archers.
What part of this I don’t like is that there are two goblin archers.
If the two of them were to concentrate their fire on Yuzuki. She might be a goner.
Conversely, if we could defeat them without any problems, we could explore the 3rd floor with this party composition without any major problems.
“Well, it’s our 3rd floor debut battle!”

Kodachi-san and I also took a battle stance to face the hordes of monsters.
