Chapter 19: Identity revealed (part-2)

Kai, Bolt and Tarike were on their way to the town hall. Soon Kai was able to see the old town hall. It was a two-layered building made out of wood and had  a large entrance gate.

They entered the office where Alfred was sitting on a table with an Elder sitting on a chair on the left side of the table.

"You go on in." He turned around with a document rolled in his hand.

With the elder's permission, they entered Alfred's office. He sat on a chair behind a mahogany table. He had a file of documents in his hand.

Having caught the document, Kai looked at the information inside of it.

"This is?" Kai asked Alfred with a confused look.

"It's your self-introduction document and also your proof of identity that you are a citizen of the Kingdom of Buraford. Take care of it," Alfred replied.

He then moved his attention to Bolt and Tarika with a smile.

"Do I still need to tell you or are you still confused?" He looked straight into their eyes and then looked towards Kai who was reading the document as if pointing at something.

"We know that, he is our lost son. Townlord."

Alfred smiled and looked at Kai whose body froze and he looked at Tarika and Bolt as tears started flowing out of his eyes with no sound coming out of his mouth and went to hug his mother tightly, something later he cried like a little boy.

Something later, he let go of her as his emotions came down his mother eyes were also tearfully.

"Where have you been all these years? Were you scared without us by your side? Did you eat properly?" Tarika asked all sorts of questions to Kai.

A mother had lost her six-year-old child, without knowing where he was not is he dead or alive. Though she tried to look strong, she never forgot her child's face for even a moment. He had returned yesterday back to her but was not even able to tell him is identity. She doesn't know why he doesn't told them, he was doubtful about how to explain the transformation he had went through in these years. 

Alfred watched silently from the sides as Tarika broke down and Bolt's eyes turned red and he was covering them with his arm to try to stop the tears from flowing.

Finally, after 11 years, their Kai had returned home.

After some time, Tarika let go of Kai and placed her hands on his cheeks while looking at his eyes. "Kai, my son, you've grown to become a naughty boy. Telling lie to your mother and father, did you really thought that we cannot understand if you just let us know your story of how you became magic user?

Did you forget your mother and father? Did you think we wouldn't recognize our son? whose lips tremble before lying to his mother?who has a birthmark on his back? who doesn't hold the knife and fork correctly and rubs his thumb and index finger when talking to his father?"

Hearing that Kai felt ashamed, he had underestimated his parents.

"Forgive me, mom. I really was confused how should I explained to you. That's why I wanted to get help from Townlord to get prove of my identity before I face you guys. I was afraid that you will doubt me."

Tarika smiled"I forgive you for this time. You don't have to lie to us, though we may not be able to understand it completely."

Kai nodded.

A hand suddenly appeared on Kai's shoulder as he looked back. The hand was Bolt's. "Welcome back home, my son."

"I am back, mother, father."
